A new laser method of growing diamond from compressed graphite has been proposed and developed at the Sector (RF patent 2083272 of 10/07/1997, US patent 5690794 of 25/11/1997, France patent 2735049 of 21/08/1998).

A new type of electric capacitors containing nanoparticles; a nanolaser and nanoamplifier based on plasmon resonance; a new type of mirrors with nanoparticles; a new type of a heterogeneous medium, a heteroelectric (RF patents 2266585 of 20/10/2005, 2249278 of 27/03/2005, 2265870 of 10/12/2005, 2266596 of 20/12/2005, 2249277 of 27/03/2005) have been developed.

A method of a significant (10–100-fold) increase of the long-term stability of optical frequency references based on the resonances of saturated dispersion and absorption in lasers with the internal absorbing cell (RF patent application 2006-133-177, priority of 18/09/2006) has been developed.
